Do you have experience helping nonprofits manage, organize and implement the goals of various specialized endeavors? Do you have experience putting together and overseeing time sensitive operations? The nonprofit news organization WhoWhatWhy is looking for a volunteer Special Projects Producer to oversee all aspects of two organization-wide special projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that everyone involved in these exciting projects is communicating clearly, getting work done efficiently and that every department is linked. This is a great role for someone who has previously work in film production or campaign management.
Who We Are
We are a remarkable news organization and community that is making a difference, setting a new standard, and innovating on every front. A nonprofit that accepts no advertising, WhoWhatWhy is staffed largely with skilled volunteers dedicated to elevating public awareness and fostering a more vigorous democracy.
You will work remotely and on your own schedule, though we require a minimum commitment of 5-8 hours a week. Because our staff is spread throughout the world, we communicate mostly through email. All staff are required to respond to emails on a daily basis.
Please send us a resume and carefully reasoned, customized cover letter that outlines your experience and skillset, and shows that you have studied what we do at WhoWhatWhy. Our mission must resonate deeply with you. We will not review applications that appear to be mass submissions. You must confirm your understanding that this is a volunteer position.
