Volunteer Best Practices Researcher

Do you have experience researching and implementing Best Practices procedures so organizations can communicate effectively, standardize workflow and operate smoothy? Our nonprofit, quickly growing news organization, dedicated to honestly getting to the bottom of the great issues of our time, seeks qualified Best Practices Researchers to help us figure out Best Practices for a variety of procedures across departments.

A nonprofit that accepts no advertising, WhoWhatWhy is staffed largely with skilled volunteers dedicated to elevating public awareness and fostering a more vigorous democracy.  

Expectations

You will work remotely and on your own schedule, though we require a minimum commitment of 5-8 hours a week.  Because our staff is spread throughout the world, we communicate mostly through email. All staff are required to respond to emails on a daily basis.

  • Newsroom experience a plus

  • Oversee and perform BPR across departments 
  • Work with the operations team to create standards and procedures for internal communications and workflow
  • Help team members understand their role in specific projects according to BPR
