Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and driving the success of initiatives within the Donor Development Department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
- Collaborating with Donor Development Managers to fully understand project objectives and provide regular status updates.
- Following up with action owners to ensure accountability and facilitating decision-making processes.
- Attending department meetings and leading discussions as needed.
- Facilitating or leading project meetings and ensuring continual progress.
- Updating and publishing project plans and minutes regularly.
- Actively tracking and reporting on the status of all projects.
- Serving as an escalation point for team members, resolving issues, and clearing roadblocks.
- Developing and implementing project management templates, processes, and best practices.
- Assisting in the recruitment and selection of prospective team members.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to identify more efficient workflows.
- Seeking opportunities for continuous process improvement across WhoWhatWhy.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who share our mission and possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in project management or coordination, ideally with knowledge of donor development.
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to take the lead, identify project tasks, set priorities, and assign and monitor work.
- Successful experience working with stakeholders at various levels to achieve quality results on time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Commitment to staying for a minimum of 12 months.
- Bachelor’s degree or Project Management certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the media industry, startups, or nonprofits is a plus but not required.

Expectations
We ask all team members to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week and maintain high responsiveness through Slack, email, and conference calls. Additionally, we request a minimum commitment of 12 months from our volunteers to ensure continuity and meaningful contributions to our mission.
Attendance at our bi-weekly department meetings on Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time is mandatory.
