Organizational Process Engineer

*Note: the following is an opportunity for volunteer, part time, flexible work. Please DO NOT APPLY if you are only looking for paid employment.*

Are you at a point in your life where doing something challenging, meaningful and fun is more of an urgent concern for you than compensation? Are you ready to work with smart and talented individuals committed to producing great content in the public interest? Do you have extensive experience engineering organizational processes? Join our grand experiment in creating high-quality, insightful news.

The Position

WhoWhatWhy is looking for a volunteer Organizational Processes Engineer to manage processes throughout the organization. You will work closely with senior managers to ensure processes are standardized in all departments, an essential factor in ensuring that our organization runs smoothly.

If you can commit a minimum of 10 or more hours a week, working remotely on your own schedule with our far-flung, diverse team, we’d like to hear from you.

Who We Are

We are a remarkable news organization and community that is making a difference, setting a new standard, and innovating on every front. A nonprofit that accepts no advertising, WhoWhatWhy is staffed largely with skilled volunteers dedicated to elevating public awareness and fostering a more vigorous democracy.

Expectations

You will work remotely and on your own schedule, though we require a minimum commitment of 10 hours a week.  Because our staff is spread throughout the world, we communicate mostly through email.  All staff are required to respond to emails on a daily basis.  If you possess a high level of self-motivation, work well independently, strive for excellence, and can commit quality time per week on a regular basis to help achieve team goals, we’d like to hear from you.
