Marketing/Branding Production Manager

The Position

Are you a detail-oriented, results-obsessed marketing and branding expert? The nonprofit news organization WhoWhatWhy is looking for a Marketing Production Manager to ensure every detail of the marketing plan is carried out, supervise team members, and organize efforts for effective and efficient marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing production in order to reach a wider audience and gain further clout as a news organization.

If you can commit a minimum of 10 or more hours a week, working remotely on your own schedule with our far-flung, diverse team, we’d like to hear from you.

Expectations

You will work remotely and on your own schedule, though we require a minimum commitment of 10 hours a week. Because our staff is spread throughout the world, we communicate mostly through email. All staff are required to respond to emails on a daily basis.  If you possess a high level of self-motivation, work well independently, strive for excellence, and can commit quality time per week on a regular basis to help achieve team goals, please apply.

Requirements

  • Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles
  • The ability to define and delegate tasks, and motivate others
  • Strong organizational and communicative skills
  • The ability to work independently, in a team environment
  • The patience to monitor multiple individuals and projects at once
  • Newsroom experience is a plus
     

Responsibilities

  • Think through the different steps of production, assign team members to tasks and ensure everything is done in an efficient manner
  • Help set and enforce deadlines
  • Act as a liaison between Marketing Manager and team members
