Design Assistant

Are you passionate about design and helping nonprofits creatively showcase their impact? The nonprofit news organization WhoWhatWhy is looking for a design assistant to help track, research, and collect design ideas for our creative department. You will work closely with designers and editors to help develop our design as we embark on news initiatives and projects.

A nonprofit that accepts no advertising, we are staffed largely with skilled volunteers dedicated to elevating public awareness and fostering a more vigorous democracy.

Requirements

  • Interest in and knowledge of current affairs and news
  • Interest and knowledge of digital and graphic design
  • Excellent written communication and oral presentation abilities
  • Maturity, accuracy, confidence, focus, high level of organizational capability, self-motivation

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage projects and tasks, conduct research, interact with editors and creative team
  • Learn vital interpersonal and intrapersonal relationship skills, how to interact in a professional environment, how to be persuasive and persistent
  • Assist the creative department with whatever needs to be done
